Phantom Lighting Design Showroom
Phantom Lighting’s designer showroom offers a unique and innovative virtual lighting supply source for decorators, home builders, architects, electricians, and carpenters. The diversity of elegance found in our lighting design showroom is intended to serve as an example of how applicable our residential and commercial luxury lighting fixtures to a wide range of custom lighting environments. When a designers visits our online lighting supply showroom, they are seeing not just products, but tangible examples of how specific products have been customized to the exact specifications of high-end projects that standard art lighting and linear lighting fixtures could not have adequately been communicated with technical catalog.Consider this fact: every project you see showcased here began as a custom lighting design project just like the one you are currently working on.
Each professional we helped in the pat simply gave us the scope of his or her project, supplied us with appropriate dimensions, schematics, or photographs, and then let our consultants and lighting agents take it from there. Our unique custom specification and lighting supply process was then able to meet the needs of the professional needs on a very personal level and provide him or her with a luminaire made specifically for the project at hand.
You may notice quite a few cabinet lighting, display lighting, and antique furniture lighting projects showcased on our lighting design gallery.
Every one of these lit by customizing one or more of our six linear strip models into an in-cabinet, undercabinet, bookshelf, or display cabinet lighting fixture. Although based on hidden linear lighting technology, these fixtures go far beyond the capabilities typical linear strips you buy from online stores or find in retail showrooms. They are custom manufactured as ultra-thin vertical and horizontal pieces that fit so exactly match the cabinets and shelves they illuminate that you cannot even see that they are there. If you are a home builder, you can count on these luminaires to fit even the most original and eclectic of kitchen cabinets. The same principal applies to cove lighting as well. Our lighting supply showroom exhibits a number of projects where the CM series linear lighting fixtures have been bent to fit the exact curvature of the cove or vaulted ceiling they illuminate.
Our lighting design showroom has a great deal of projects for the art consultant to study as well.
If your profession is locating and hanging artwork for your clients, one of your top priorities is going to be finding art lights that will effectively illuminate your designs. Consider the benefits offered by the Phantom Contour Projector’s “lighted from within effect.” This picture lighting effect is created by a powerful halogen bulb whose light is passed through a sophisticated, adjustable series of filters that both shape the light and render it free of all ultraviolet and infrared light. Since the recessed projector light is “contoured” to match the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the painting or sculpture it illuminates, you gain a remarkable precision in lighting control and luminance intensity when lighting your clients’ art. Our lighting design showroom offers many examples of how this proprietary effect has earned Phantom Lighting world recognition for bringing museum quality lighting to private residential and commercial art collections.
Take your time as study these projects and let your own creativity begin to speak to you.
Although your current project will no doubt be unique, there is a Muse waiting to inspire you today as you browse through our lighting design showroom, and a manufacturer’s representative agent in your area waiting to help you put your next project in a whole new light.

Find a wide variety of cabinet, cove, display, and antique furniture lighting effects in our virtual lighting showroom that we have created using our proprietary, custom linear lighting strips. These are not the typical low voltage cabinet lighting strips you buy from online stores or find in retail showrooms. They are custom made from ultra-thin vertical and horizontal strips that match exactly the under cabinet and shelving dimensions of the surfaces you are lighting. Builders can requisition under cabinet lights made that will perfectly fit even the most original and eclectic of kitchen cabinets. They can also illuminate cabinet interiors and other forms of shelving with Phantom linear strips. The many cove lighting construction projects depicted in our virtual showroom were designed with linear strips as well. The low-profile, wireless design of these fixtures makes them highly adaptable to low-profile ceiling accent lighting. In fact, our CM series LED strip lighting fixtures can even be bent up to full 360-degrees to accommodate anything from a serpentine cove to a vaulted ceiling dome.
Our virtual lighting gallery also has a great deal for the art consultant to consider.
Here you will find many examples of fine art illuminated by what is known as our "lighted from within effect." This is achieved by the advanced lens configuration and filtration mechanism of our Phantom Contour projector fixture. The light is shaped or “contoured” to match the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the painting or sculpture it illuminates. This allows for a remarkable precision in lighting control and luminance intensity. The filters also strip the light of all ultraviolet and infrared light to render it harmless to sensitive oils and canvases. The light is also shaped, or “contoured” Regardless of the color scheme, location, or size of the painting, the light always appears to emanate from the surface of the art. For decades, this is is what has made the Phantom Contour Projector world famous for art lighting.

Lighting Supply & Light Supplies
Architects, builders, and interior decorators have long had to rely exclusively upon lighting supply distributors whose first priority was to sell what was in stock. Custom orders have often been difficult to fill through these brick and mortar lighting suppliers simply because these distributors simply HAVE to keep standard moving out the door to stay in business. Custom orders are much more difficult to fulfill because they take a great deal of time to design and requisition, and they are therefore much less cost effective for the distributorship to consistently provide. This has all changed, now. Thanks to the Internet, Phantom Lighting has emerged as a next generation lighting supply manufacturer that has risen to international prominence by providing direct, initial personal consultation, targeted referral to the right technical specialist in our representative agent network, custom manufacturing per client demand, and expeditious product delivery. Resultantly, specific benefits flow from this more efficient business model to a number of professions within the design community at large.
Architects rely on Phantom Lighting to supply them with custom cove lights when standard fixtures prove inappropriate or inadequate for eclectic interior architecture.
The Phantom CM series cove lighting fixtures feature a number of benefits that are not present in standard cove lights.
· A potential radius fit of up to 360 degrees, making it possible to bend the strip either in a winding pattern or form it as a full circle.
· Full dimmability that allows the user to set ambient light levels at precise levels of luminance
· Concealed wiring, hidden transformers, and a smaller linear strip mount that make it near invisible
· Support for 2800K LED festoon lamps that rival xenon in colour temperature
These features make the CM series cove light the architect’s dream when it comes to lighting theme-oriented restaurant interiors such as Houston’s Aquarium, or when recommending a fixture that adds an additional layer of luminance to the general ceiling lighting of a custom home.
Architects can also create some very unique and sophisticated lighting effects by combining our flush-ceiling mount Contour Projectors with pattern gobos. Restaurants, hotels, and event planners can create a gobo depicting their company logo and use a Phantom Contour to project the image onto a wall or into a lobby area.
Phantom offers the residential builder a diverse supply of custom-built undercabinet lights, kitchen cabinet lights, truss lighting fixtures, and art lighting equipment.
Builders often install cove rope lights to provide a general cove and cabinet lighting source for new homeowners. This almost always never pays off in the long for the homeowner. It is very difficult to control the glare produced by rope lights because of their unshielded design. They are also somewhat difficult to conceal, and they tend to have a relatively short life expectancy.
Phantom’s high-performance linear strip lights outperform inferior rope lights in almost every aspect of luminance and quality of light.
· Phantom Lighting supplies a much more resilient and flexible strip that is already mounted onto an on board glare shield
· Phantom cabinet lights completely conceal themselves both in and under cabinets
· Our light strips supply power to festoon lamps through buss bars and metal shelf supports and thereby eliminate all visible wiring.
· As a result, this unique and patented design can be used as a low voltage festoon light in or under any custom cabinet without disruption to aesthetics or annoying entanglements with wiring.
Builders can also use our Phantom Contour Projectors to set any home apart from neighboring residences. Many spaces in a new home like the fireplace, dining room, library, den, and family room are ideal spots for hanging fine art, but lose their ideal aesthetic if they become cluttered with obtrusively visible accent lighting fixtures. Supply companies normally offer builders eyeball lights to provide a general overhead light that will also illuminate images hung on the wall, but these seldom do justice to truly fine works of art and originals. The Contour Projector is a much more precision lighting instrument that uses a “lighted from within” effect to create a magical glow around the artwork, and better reveals the intrinsic value of a masterpiece better than a standard luminaire can accomplish.
Lighting designers can rely upon our custom manufacturing and supply distribution channels as a technical extension of their creativity.
As artists, decorators little, if any, time to waste muddling through technical jargon and complicated installation instructions. They need a lighting supply manufacturer that can provide them with technology that is sophisticated in its delivery power, yet easy to use.
· Interior designers are welcome to directly call our main Houston office to express their plans for interior design.
· After the initial consultation, our team will direct them to the very best agent in their area that will meet their specific needs.
· This is more than simply a referral to a distributorship, because every Phantom Lighting Representative tends to specialize in one or more particular form(s) of lighting.
· Our intention is to get the designer to the right lighting salesman who will intuitively grasp the creative vision the decorator already has in mind and find the most applicable hardware to materialize that vision.
· This allows the designer greater freedom in proposing propose the wall art, furniture arrangements, draperies, specialty showcase displays, and fine art most suited for the homeowner in full confidence that our custom lighting products will fully support the final outcome of his or her labor.
Our lighting supply resource network is particularly useful to the designer in this last respect. Because it is common for designers to hang fine art in dining rooms and libraries and to decorate mantles and fireplaces with small statues and three dimensional abstracts, it is often very hard to find the best art projector that is small enough to properly and safely illuminate the piece without clashing with the surrounding design scheme. Contour Projectors overcome this challenge with a much more compact, sheik design that hides near the ceiling and conceals not only themselves, but the actual light they project. Viewers never see the beam of light that emanates from a Phantom Projector. All they see instead is a statue or painting that appears to glow with its own special aura of luminance over the fireplace, on the wall, or in the den.

Cove Lighting Supplier
Art lights obtained through typical supply houses are often generic and obtrusively interfere with the viewer’s appreciation of the art. This is one of the main reasons why architects turn to Phantom Lighting. We custom manufacture and supply cove lighting fixtures tailor made to the specifications of vaulted ceilings, domes, trusses, valances, and serpentine coves. In essence, anything the architect designs is something we can light.
We can particularly serve the architect as a custom cove lighting supplier for high-end residential and commercial interiors. The Phantom CM cove lighting series offer a potential radius fit of up to 360 degrees. This makes it possible to create a fixture that fits the circular interior of a dome in a commercial building, or to create a fixture those winds hidden along the top of a serpentine contour of a ceiling cove. This degree of flexibility makes the CM series architect’s dream when it comes to illuminating theme-oriented restaurant interiors such as Houston’s Aquarium. This recent project involved supplying a local architect with CM fixtures fitted with 2800K LED festoon lamps. The effects we were able to create rivaled those of xenon lamps with a colour temperature that matched the sand and water color scheme of the interior design.
Architects involved in similar restaurant design projects have also been able to create some very sophisticated lighting effects with our Contour Projector products. These clean and sophisticated looking projectors flush-mount to the ceiling and can be fitted with gobos to project images onto walls. Perry’s steakhouse in Austin, TX recently had a pattern gobo created to project their logo into their main lobby. Architects involved in restaurant and hotel planning can use this versatile combination of pattern gobo and projector to supply lighting effects that give their clients a winning, competitive edge in branding.
The same art projector and cove lights we supply to commercial architects also serve the residential architect equally well. Custom homes are built for interior decorating, and the low profile design of both our Contour Projectors and our linear cove lighting strips offers a greater freedom of interior decorating. Design professionals can hang art in any location appropriate to display and have it “lighted from within” by projector requisitioned by the architect prior to build out. They can also count on having more ambient lighting near the top of the room with energy saving LED cove lights that will save them money and compliment whatever work is subsequently done by an interior decorator with an additional layer of light.

Lighting using low voltage fixtures for display and shelving is effective way to show of art collections.
We recently purchased an antique corner cabinet similar to the one you have in your gallery section. The antique cabinet has two glass front doors and solid wood sides. The shelves are fixed and the back is covered in a dark fabric. Is it possible to illuminate the cabinet with strip lighting and not destroy the integrity of the cabinet?Phantom strip lighting fixtures are custom made to fit just about any cabinet, bookshelf or indirect cove. Whether you are mounting Phantom strip lights horizontal or vertically, the custom trims can be fabricated to perfectly fit. The low profile metal trims completely hide the light even from the most severe angles because each trim has a glare shield to hide the source. A small low voltage transformer is also required to power the lights and can be hidden either above the cabinet or below the cabinet.
Shelves that are fixed and under 30" wide, typically would be done with vertical strip lighting. That is so the fixture can be hidden from normal view and the wires can be concealed as well. Anything over 30" wide requires a special center strip light to prevent a dark center.
