Decorative Accent Lighting
Decorative accent lighting covers a broad spectrum of fixtures and lighting applications too multitudinous to discuss in a single article. The key point of differentiation between these three forms of decorative accent light and other similar accent lighting layer is the word custom. Too much light will flatten its sense of perspective and wash out its colors. Too little light will darken the scene with a gloomy shadow. A beam of light that is too narrow will spotlight only a part of the painting with tunnel vision. Too much light will spill onto the wall.
None of this will do justice to your collection.
What you need is a source of decorative low voltage accent lighting that can be aimed from precisely the right angle and perfectly adjusted to fit within the borders of the frame. You want that light to emphasize the relationship of light and shadow that the artist established in the work itself. You also want that light to draw attention to the painting and not to the fixture itself.
