Cove Lighting is an integral part of home accent lighting.
The high ceilings and intricate interior architecture of today’s custom home demand high quality decorative lighting effects. Phantom linear lighting strips are ideal accent lighting tools for cove lighting applications that require energy efficiency and minimal thermal output. With new LED festoon lamps, these home accent lights can be left on throughout the day and night with only minimal power consumption. Each new festoon lamp uses only .6 watts of power. This, combined with the fact that LEDs use 60 percent less energy than other types of cove lighting lamps, makes the cost effectiveness of operating our lights readily evident.
Phantom readily admits that other manufactures make LED home accent lights for cove lighting applications. However, our professional lighting equipment is unique in two respects. For one thing, the fact that our lamps use less than 1 watt each makes their heat output negligible to competing lamps that operate at 5-7 watts each. One watt is one BTU in heat output, so simple math readily demonstrates how quickly a room will heat up with cove lights made by any of our competitors. Also, the light output from other LED lamps is never more than 10 lumens maximum. Phantom’s newest line of LED cabinet lighting fixtures, however, uses 6 LEDs per lamp for a combined lumens output of over 40. This makes them equal to incandescent and xenon bulbs in brightness—but far more cost effective to run in operating costs and lamp life expectancy.
Cabinet and under cabinet lighting is another very integral part of home accent lighting.
Even smaller homes under 5,000 square feet in size often have custom kitchen cabinets and exceptional display cabinets and bookshelves. Phantom linear strips can be custom-made to fit any of these surfaces. Because our accent lighting fixtures are smaller than those of competing manufacturers, our technology can be completely concealed under the front reveal of a kitchen cabinet or interior display cabinet shelf. Vertically mounted fixtures can also be wired to fit the interior doors and vertical styles of antique reproduction cabinets, and linear lights can also be manufactured to fit the shelving of bookcases.
Essentially, whatever type of cabinet you have that requires home accent lighting, our linear strip lighting fixtures will work provided the display does not have a mirrored back plane.
Fine art lighting is the most demanding element of home accent lighting that requires specialize equipment to do effectively.
Many of the larger custom homes today are superbly decorated with fine art. These works of art include professional quality photography, fine oils, and sculptures.
