Phantom Lighting’s new generation of LED adjustable shelf lighting fixtures makes it possible to combine the most energy efficient form of light with a completely controllable and concealed light source. These fixtures feature a unique, proprietary design that allows shelves to be repositioned at will without rewiring and without the risk of circuit failure or lamp burnout. New breakthroughs in LED festoon lamping also make it possible to save more power than ever before and eliminate unwanted production of heat. They also allow designers to migrate away from incandescent and xenon cabinet lighting toward energy efficient LED alternatives.
Indeed, nothing can be better than a brand new cabinet fitted with the newest LED linear cabinet lighting technology that today’s market has to offer. Never before has a lighting manufacturer worked in concert with cabinet makers as closely as Phantom does now. This is because Phantom’s LED cabinet lighting strips are seamlessly integrated into the cabinet itself, being custom cut to fit the precise dimensions of cabinet interiors. The unique design of our LED adjustable shelf lighting strips allows shelves to be repositioned at will and removed for cleaning whenever necessary.
LED adjustable shelf lighting also offers, for the first time in LED cabinet lighting history, a completely heat free lighting source. This removes the limitations from cabinet design and display application lighting. No one has to worry about what will happen if doors with glass windows are built into the front of the cabinet and lights are left on for too long behind closed doors. With Phantom LED festoon lamps now operating at only 0.6 watt per lamp, we are able to produce amazing lighting quality and light output with less than one BTU per lamp. Cabinet contents are safer, and electrical costs are even lower, than they were with previous LED lamp types. Less heat buildup also means a cooler room, which further contributes to power savings in the form of reduced AC costs.
This brings us to the very important topic of aesthetics, and the very real need for LED adjustable shelf lighting to look every bit as good as it works. New cabinets are an investment that the homeowner places significant value on. This is why, historically, xenon low voltage lighting has been the preferred source of new construction cabinet lighting, and incandescent has also held a smaller, yet steady, market share as well. Until recently, only the color temperature and lumen output of xenon and incandescent could meet the requirements of coordinating with ambient household lighting while accenting the contents of display cabinets.
This is no longer the case, thanks to Phantom LED adjustable shelf lighting options. The new toppled LED configuration within our festoon emits a lumen output of 44-50 lumens per LED lamp compared to others. That is equivalent to a 7 watt xenon in brightness, and well able to illuminate the contents of any bookshelf, display cabinet, corner cabinet, and new antique reproduction cabinets. Color temperatures range from 2700K to 5000K, while multiple trim options and glare shields ensure that an optimal, even distribution of light can be achieved in any cabinet, regardless of its specific dimensions or style of construction.
