Upgrading to LED Cove Lighting
Many of you in the interior design industry may still be hesitant about recommending LED cove lighting to your clients. While the power saving options cannot be denied, the color rendering capabilities of generic LED lamps are still challenged in many respects.
Heat buildup is another problem with many of these lamps. While it is no worse than xenon, it is not much better either. Add to that the fact that many LEDs simply do not produce as bright a light as xenon, and you may be tempted to tell your clients that xenon is still the best decorative lighting option in spite of its drawbacks.
While this may be the case for much of the cove lighting construction industry, Phantom offers you an entirely new set of options when it comes to recommending a better source of light that simultaneously passes on to your client a savings and return on investment. Our newest generation of LED festoons have been meticulously engineered to overcome the barriers of forward throw heat, color temperature limitation, and limited lumen output.
New Phantom LED festoon lamps consist of six individual LED's that produce a lumen output ranging from 44 to 50 lumens—basically equivalent to any incandescent light source you may have previously recommended to your clients. As with all Phantom products, these lamps are operated by user-friendly low-voltage transformers which can be fitted with dimmers. This allows decorative lighting to be blended superbly with other layers of lighting in the bedroom, kitchen, family room, living room, or private study.
The color temperatures now available in LED cove light fixtures are even more amazing. Ranging from the ultra-cool 5000K to the ultra-warm 2700K, any interior design can be accented with these lights with an amazing approximation to the warm tones of xenon sourcing. This gives both you and your clients freedom of choice of combining the best room accent light with the most energy efficient source of illumination ever invented.
Above all things, however, the most important breakthrough we have achieved in our new linear cove lighting technology is the elimination of heat. Until now, regardless of the source of light you chose—whether it was incandescent, xenon, or LED—your clients had to either dim their lights to cut down on heat, or they will have to pay more in AC costs to cool the room down.
With our new cove lighting LED lamps, however, the first source of completely heat free decorative lighting has emerged onto the marketplace. Operating at less than 1 watt of power per festoon lamp, our linear fixtures can shine brightly all day and all night without increasing room temperature. This compounds the innate energy saving power of LED by keeping the room cooler, and it extends lamp life up to 50,000 hours.
Without sacrificing any of the previous benefits that LED custom cove lighting offered the world, Phantom has compounded value upon value, both for you, the designer, and your clients at large. Linear fixtures are custom built to the exact requirements of your application and fitted with the best possible lamp options called for by your decorative scheme.
