Unlike competing models that require DC power inverters for retrofit applications, all of our LED lamps are operable on standard 12VAC or 24VAC magnetic transformers. Best of all, Phantom provides LED light bulbs & lamps that rival the lumen output and physical dimensions of industry standard incandescent and xenon lamps. This allows them to function as replacements that reduce power while preserving color rendering, lighting levels, and glare free ambient lighting effects.
Superior Lumen Output
Phantom is the only provider of LED lamps to offer diode-based lighting technology with a lumen output equivalent to that of incandescent and Xenon festoons. Most competing manufacturers of LED lights use festoon lamps that consist of either 5mm, or “toppled” LED’s. This results in a lower level of output than traditional technologies are able to produce. The industry standard output for these lamps is only 1 or 1.5 lumens. This limits the retrofitting capabilities of most LED accent LED fixtures to only the lowest ambient lighting applications and renders them ineffective for high-end display and showcase lighting where greater visibility is required.
Phantom LED lamps are completely different because of the way they are designed. Our linear lighting strips with LED lamps are engineered with an entirely different bulb configuration than competing festoons. Each Phantom lamp consists of six small LED emitters with tight color binning and a color rendering index rating of approximately 80. The close proximity of highly rated commercial bulbs within the festoon housing results in a total output of 50 lumens. This level of light is equivalent to that of a 7-watt incandescent bulb, making it an ideal LED replacement for any existing festoon lamps.
The lamp itself is extremely compact, intended to mirror the size and dimensions of incandescent equivalents. A Phantom LED measures only 1-11/16” in overall length, 9/16” in width and 3/8” in depth.
Energy Efficient/LEED Certification
Phantom has long led the way among LED lighting manufacturers as a forward-thinking company that keeps in step with environmental consciousness and energy conservation. To accommodate the growing demand for LEED certification, we have made it a point to provide energy efficient LED lamps that produce only trace levels of forward throw heat and minimal wattage per foot. Although the Phantom LED lamp is equivalent in lumen output to a 7-watt incandescent bulb, it only radiates one-half the equivalent heat of a 1-watt light bulb. Normal operating temperatures will range between –40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The quantum efficiency of our festoons is actually superior to that of incandescents and xenon cabinet lighting fixtures, and further power savings can be achieved with the use of dimmer switches.
For companies looking to reduce wattage per square foot on strip lighting products and save money on replacement costs, Phantom LED lamps offer a very cost effective alternative to full system overhaul. An organization on a budget can purchase only the lamps and leave existing linear strip lights in place.
Versatility
The versatility of the Phantom LED is not restricted to retrofitting alone. Phantom is a design conscious LED under cabinet lighting manufacturer that places special emphasis on how the lights look, as well as how well they fit and operate.
Our festoons are available in a broad spectrum of color temperatures that include, Warm 2700K, Warm White 3500K, and Cool White 5000K. Specific lumen output for the 2700K PHANTOM LED LAMP is 40 lumens, 45 lumens for 3500K, and roughly 50 lumens for the 5000K lamps.
This allows the Phantom festoon virtually unlimited versatility in a very wide range of residential and commercial showcase lighting applications. Lamp Life
While most LED lamp manufacturers typically produce LED bulbs that last up to 50,000 lamp hours, not all festoons last that long. The combined heat of multiple bulbs can damage the circuit board over a long period of time. The accent lighting tools will remain viable, but the lamp becomes useless once the board is damaged.
Phantom Lighting overcomes this problem with extremely high efficiency low wattage LED's that produce negligible heat. This improves lamp performance and extends lamp life.

When this revolutionary technology is in turn compared to incandescents and xenon lamps, there really is no comparison. The life expectancy for a Xenon low voltage festoon lighting is less than half that of an LED- 20,000 hours. The lifespan of an incandescent is even shorter- only 7,500 hours.
