I need picture lighting because we are in the process of building a new home. The builder has suggested that I use MR16 accent lighting to illuminate my artwork. I feel that a contour projector is more suitable for my needs. Do you have any information that I can provide to the builder to show him what I am talking about? Thanks.
We do a have a color catalog that illustrates the many ways that Contour Projector can be the most effective accent lighting for your art. MR16 accent lighting includes some of the most widely used accent lights on the market. They are small, powerful and a very effective tool for lighting art. However, MR16 accent lights do not provide the control or sophistication that projectors do for lighting fine art.
The Phantom Contour projector is certainly a big step up from the MR16 lighting fixture. The internal lenses produce a focused light which can be shaped or masked to follow the exact contour of the art. That means only the canvas is lit without spill light on the wall. So, the object takes on a “lighted from within” look that is simply magical. The same is true for lighting sculptures!
Why don’t you show your builder our projector comparison page to learn more about how we stack up against traditional picture lighting. In the meantime, I will forward you a complete binder illustrating both our art lighting equipment as well as our low voltage shelf lighting system.
